Dear Girl Mom,
I wonder: How are you faring today? That is, not only how are you doing, but how are you managing all things on this very day?
Dearest girl mom, are you aware of how precious you are? Are you familiar with these words found in Ephesians 2:10?
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
You, yes you, are God’s masterpiece. With your hard-working hands, stained blouse, and tireless service to all who need you. God sees and knows the very intimate and deepest parts of you, and He yearns for nothing more than to be in relationship with you.
As we take our deepest needs to Him, let us spend these next few moments receiving His unconditional love and blessing. Let’s allow Him to mold us, just as a potter would his clay. Let us take this time to yield to how He can shape our desires to be more of what He created us to be in this world.
For you, dear girl mom, were created for just a time as this. You have purpose, and, among all other things, you are incredible in your role as a mom to your daughter.
May you know and hear that you are a masterpiece and a blessing to others.
Love,
Stacy & Nicole

A Blessing from Nicole
Recently, a dear friend found herself walking in a season where it seems every path has been blocked by a huge boulder. When it seemed God was making a way one moment, the next moment would reveal yet another setback.
But in the midst of uncertainty and confusion, God was always near. With a well-timed verse, the perfect song, or a word of encouragement from someone in her life, He continued to reveal that He was working and had not abandoned her.

One Sunday, a stranger at a church service approached my friend and told her that she felt God was moving boulders in her life and that he would make a way. She had no idea what my friend was going through but was obedient to pass along the message.
God doesn’t always speak so clearly and directly, but this time He was sure to make it known that even when we are trudging through a valley, He is right there with us. He knows us and He sees us!
The very next day, she experienced a specific answer to prayer and all the doors that had previously been closed began to swing wide open. She sent me a joy filled text saying, “God moved ALL the boulders today!”
I want to share this with you to let you know that wherever you are in your faith journey, and no matter what your thoughts and emotions are speaking to you (and those can be deceiving by the way!), remember that God is working in your situation, too. His timing isn’t our timing. I think that might be the most difficult part of the Trust process, at least for me.
I’m kind of a “I want what I want when I want it” kind of girl. I imagine God smiling as I say that, knowing full well how he created me and yet delighting in the fact that I am learning more about who HE is each and every day.
Pray for exactly what you need. There is no request too big or too small for our God. Be honest with God about how you feel and any hurt you may be processing. Cast all your cares and anxiety on Him (Psalm 55:22). He knows each hair on your head (Luke 12:7) so he certainly knows what keeps you up at night. And He’s got it handled.
Rest easy, dear girl mom, as you lift your cares to God.
This Thanksgiving season, I pray you would simply rest in His promises and trust in His timing.
I will praise you on the mountain
And I will praise you when the mountain is in my way
You're the summit where my feet are
So I will praise You in the valleys all the same
No less God within the shadows
No less faithful when the night leads me astray
'Cause You're the heaven where my heart is
In the highlands and the heartache all the same
Oh, how far beneath Your glory
Does Your kindness extend apart
From where Your feet rest on the sunrise
To where You sweep the sinner's pasd oh, how fast would You come running?
If just to shadow me through the night
Trace my steps through all my failure
And walk me out the other side
A Blessing from Stacy

Praise and worship music has a way of upholding and sustaining me through difficult times, just as it has a way of refocusing my gaze and turning my mourning into dancing. This song is but one example of a song that has sustained me during one of the deepest grief-filled seasons I have ever experienced as I have lived estranged from my beloved firstborn of three daughters.
This song reminds me of the depths of God’s love and how His sustaining love is enough. I can praise Him on the mountain: those joyous days when the grief doesn’t overtake me, and He empowers me to relish in the present with all its sweet experiences and hope. His Word, the Holy Bible, is the summit where my feet remain. Even though I have been walking through a deep valley of grief, I can choose to focus on Him, His wondrous ways, and praise His Holy name. Experiencing how He is faithful to uphold, and how He is faithful to keep His promises will brew joy. God promises that everything works together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose for them. This season will not last forever.
Neither will yours.
Maybe your day has dawned, and it is filled with the anticipation of many wonderful experiences, loved ones, and rich laughter together. Or, maybe the day has dawned, and you are already worn out, as if you never even slept at all. You can’t seem to shake the anxiety and worries over all that life currently holds. Maybe your relationships are strained, and parenting has been filled with anything but joy lately.
Regardless of what season you are in, or how valued (or devalued) you feel as a mom, it is our prayer that you know that God is there for you, and He loves you. We pray these truths deeply resonate with you.
Dear girl mom, He never leaves any of us alone. He is faithful to meet us in our distress, and His compassion is a gift of grace. Our God of love is faithful to shadow us through the night, to trace our steps through all of our failures, and walk us out the other side.
So, if there is a deep need you are yearning to have filled, run to our Lord and Savior. He is there waiting to receive you with open arms.
Fall into His embrace and receive the blessing of His unconditional love, grace, and mercy. Allow Him to turn your mourning into dancing. Don’t be dejected and sad, instead allow the joy of the Lord to be your strength!

Abba Father,
We invite you into this place and we pray over each mother, daughter, and woman listening at this moment. We pray you will bless them with an encounter with you that is tender, compassionate, specific, and undeniably You.
Touch each of our broken and weary hearts and reveal the depths of Who You are to each of us. We are yearning for You, seeking You, and longing to hear from You. May we learn to praise you from the mountains as well as the valleys. You are our Rock, our Refuge, and our Strength. May our love for You fill us and overflow from us, pouring out on those around us.
Amen
